Kuro rolled over to his side and whined. His dreams where never the best part of sleeping. Always the same one, over and over again. The flash of blood and murder of everyone around him, haunted his little body until it shook with fear. His dark eyes shot open, and a scream exited his mouth. Dropping his hands to his sides, he then suddening felt something touchig him. Scared but wanting to know, he turned his head only to realize that it was the man from earlier.

The demon twitched rather violently as the exhaustion forced his dreams upon his consious. His pale mouth mumbled a few unimportant words as his expression resembled that of great stress. Finally, his graphite eyes shot open as he regained a feel for reality. Breathing a bit heavily from the rush of adrenaline, Madoka glanced at Kuro. "Hello..." He re-greeted...

Kuro nodded hello, then stretched his small body. Sitting up and looking at the world, He could tell that today was going to be like every other one he's had, painful and useless. His small eyes looked around taking in all his surroundings then he stood up slowly and walked over to the water. The salty smell of it filled his nose making him sneeze. Excusing himself quickly, Kuro stopped and removed his shirt, showing his biggest scar of them all. It basically was his back , moving down from his left shoulder all the way to his right hip. his legs moved into the water and he turned around to look at his companion. He gave a weak yet sure smile before a wave flew over his body and made him fall over.

Madoka watched as the hanyou played with the waves. The scare on the boy's back had caught the majority of his attention. Madoka smirked in reply to Kuro's smile, a smile in which had made Madoka himself feel as if the world was surrounding the companion. Kuro's smile was...indescribable. Whatever it was, it made the demon feel as if he could hug the hanyou with all his might. If only to hear him laugh. Madoka's smirked broadened a bit as a wave consumed Kuro's little being. He had at first felt a bit worried, for the boy's scarred back was turned and he might not have been expecting the water's little attack, but then again, he might be fine, and Madoka may actually get to hear Kuro's laughter once he resurfaced. The white-haired man sat and waited, keeping his black, covered eyes on the spot where Kuro was last seen. The wind tossed his hair about, the web-like strands being strewn about the pale flesh. His legs had their knees bent, his arms wrapped around to keep the body up.

Kuro popped up among the waves and spit out a mouth full of salt water with disgust before he looked over at Madoka and a genuine smile hit his lips. Throwing his hand up, he showed his companion his hand that held a flopping fish the size of his tiny arm. His small beating eyes that always looked like they were going to cry looked happy and carefree for once as he lifted himself up and started walking towards shore. Bending down, he smiled and handed out the fish to Madoka. "How about we have some breakfeast huh?" he said in a small questioning voice.

Mimicking that of Kuro's, Madoka's smile broadened a bit. He was fine. He was better. And his fish was adding a bit of humor to the day. The white-haired demon stood and replied with a relaxed tone, "Yeah, breakfast sounds beautiful." He didn't know whether to take Kuro's fish that was seemingly handed to him or to leave it with its captor, so Madoka prolonged the pass. "How is it you wish to eat it?"

Kuro smiled and placed the fish in Madoka's hand before turning around and diving back into the water. The sight of fish and coral in the water relaxed him before he resurfaced. He liked it here, away from everyone that would want to hut him. The sound of seagulls filled his ears and he smiled up at them. It was all peaceful there lying in the ocean before a wave hit in straight in the face. he reappeared a few seconds later and a small yet sure laugh exited his small lips.

Madoka formed a smug grin on his face as he watched with his depthless eyes the little Kuro run off, returning to the ocean. The fish squirmed a bit, so the thin hands of the demon tightened just a little, the grip silencing the movements of their breakfast. The hanyou must have contained some fast reflexes within his being, considering the currents of the underwater world were a strong force to be reckoned with in terms of power. And that is when his blood stood still. For only a moment, such a laughter was heard. Kuro's laughter. The sweet melody like the song of an innocent wave. No, nothing like it...the wave could not compare. The white-haired man could do nothing but stand and marvel at the other being, the innocence of his presence giving him an emotion of awe. It would seem even the fish became willing to succumb to the nutrition of the young boy, just to give him energy for another step.

After every wave, Kuro Pushed away the hair that matted in front of his face and his smile became bigger. His worries started to float away on each current passing him by. As he laughed again, his small black eyes turned toward his companion on land, only to notice the stunned look on Madoka's face. Kuro stopped and his happy expression became one of embarrassment . He quickly wrapped his arms around his small body and starting walking back to shore. The carefree expression in his eyes became one of fear and misunderstanding. Slowly his body moved back into his clammed up self and kept his eyes to the ground as he passed by Madoka on his way towards what looked like a good place to sit out of the way and placed himself there and tightened into a small ball with ears.

Madoka, watching Kuro walk passed, realized he was hugging the fish. Why had Kuro's light mood gone so fast, and why had Madoka's sight brought that drastic change? His heart dropped to the dirt at the thought. "Kuro..." The demon began with an extremely soft voice. The fish was set down as Madoka hurried over to the hanyou's balled position. He then, hesitantly, wrapped his pale arms around the being's body. He hugged Kuro tight, kneeling down behind him. "I'm so sorry, it's just...your laughter was so...beautiful." He explained with a whisper.

Closing his eyes tightly, Kuro held his arms tightly around him and shivered from the contact of another's skin touching his. He was never one for personal contact for the only contact he ever had was to hurt him. Memories flashed across his eyes as hands, feet and sharp objects hit against his slender body causing harm and damage. tears of fear started to run down Kuro's eyes and his small shivers became ferocious. Moving his hands from his sides, Kuro grabbed his head and forced open his eyes as a scream lifted from his lips. His body hurt more then he could imagine, then it shut down forcing him into a sleeping state. His limp body fell to the ground and hit is head on the rock. Opening a new wound on top of his right eye, soaking the ground around in blood.

Madoka froze as the short burst of shocking emotion erupted from the hanyou. His shivering body went still as it slipped through his arms, more damages accompanying the previous scars. Breaths becoming oddly panicked, the demon knelt close to the passed out boy. The steadily growing scarlet pool was begging for attention as the sunlight glinted of the rim. The shine was obstructed as a thin, gray cloud of haze began to envelop the gash. Kuro's head was slightly lifted from the rock before the tissue began to mend, the grayness surrounding it swirling vigorously. The wound eventually healed with a slight sign of it past presence. The mended skin was slightly discolored, but it would fade in time to the surrounding complexion. Madoka moved the rock and tossed it aside before the sleeping head was set back down onto the ground. The sleeping body was then covered by a gray jacket that had been removed from Madoka's. It was going to be a long afternoon.

The light of the sun hit the poor Hanyou's eyes and they slowly opened. He didn't know how long he had been out cold this time, and his head hurt for some reason. Feeling the bump above his eye, Kuro could feel something crusted to his eyebrow. Pulling it off, he noticed that it was dried blood but there was no sign of the cut. He had cut himself again, didn't he? Sitting up, he noticed a jacket on him, and saw a familiar figure next to him. Blinking to clear his vision Kuro noticed that the demon had not left but covered him and sat next to him. Kuro looked at him for a moment before taping him on the shoulder and handing out the jacket with a small smile on his lips.

Madoka's black eyes shot open with the thought that he had drifted off. That Kuro was awake. That he was smiling. "Am I having a good dream for once?" The demon said with a smirk as he looked at the hanayou. He accepted the return of the jacket a he stood, tying the gray article around his waste. It was rather warm out, now that the sunlight had found its way to the two people. Madoka's attention went back the Kuro as he examined the boy's head. "Are you okay?" He asked finally.

Kuro couldn't back the laugh from exiting his mouth,Something about this demon keeped him happy. He smiled more at the demon and stood up. Kuro stretched and looked back at Madoka. " Ya, I think I am!" He said with a smiling jester. Cracking his neck, Kuro then started walking up the beach and stopped for a moment and turned around. Madoka had done so much for him, was he really just going to leave the demon there where he stood. Kuro swore under his breath then ran back to his savior. Wrapping his slender arms around the demon, Kuro huged him then turned away and started back on his way.

"Haha, that's cool. Glad to here it." He replied as he watched the boy walk up to the beach. Next thing he knew, they were sharing an embrace. Though short lived, it still felt like there was no greater moment. None at all. But then the hanyou was leaving. Maybe the little tyke just wasn't one to sit still, just like himself. Perhaps they were both wanderers. Perhaps he wished for some company...nah...Madoka shook his head at the thought. Perhaps he could just keep an eye on him...starting now.

He was use to being alone, he didn't stay in one spot for to long because of the fear of being hunted, but something made his heart hurt more then anything as he left Madoka behind. Was it because the demon had been kind to him, was it because the demon hadn't hurt him but care. " No that's not it," Kuro whispered to himself " its' because I consider him to be a friend, yet I've never had one." Kuro's pace lessoned and he came to a stop. A small tear fell from his eyes before attempted to blink the rest of them away, but of course they came down anyway. " Why .. why did he have to be so kind to me!" kuro sobbed " Why did I have to form feelings for him, and what are these feelings I feel!?"

He was only a short distance away, short enough to hear the emotional sobs that the hanyou thought were to himself. He could do nothing but stare, though his body unmoving, his heart, his thoughts, they scurried about through an obstacle of emotions. Pity, concern, sorrow, forgetfulness, wonder, awe...they all raced against each other in the dash that would determine Madoka's final reaction.
"Kuro..." He called with a calm bellow. "It is because you deserve nothing less." The later reply came with a softer tone as he approached the other, his steps smooth and long strides that seemed to take but a breath. Before the demon knew it he was directly in front of Kuro, his arm outstretched and clasped onto the boy's shoulder.

Realizing he wasn't alone Kuro quickly covered his face and shook as Madoka layed his hands on his shoulders. His small eyes peeked in between his fingers and looked upon his companions face. Kuro stood silently for a moment before pushing Madoka's hands off him and clinging to the demons body. " why .. why do you have to be so kind," Kuro cried into his companions chest.

"It is because you deserve nothing less." He repeated with a softer tone than before. Madoka returned the embrace with his eyes closed, feeling as if the hanyou's sorrows were emanating from its body and through his own. His thin shirt barely acted as a barrier from Kuro's cooling tears, the liquid soaking through with ease. He seemed to be crying a lot. "Please, you'll dehydrate yourself if you cry so much." He stated with an unseen smile. Perhaps a lighter mood is what this boy needed. Some fun relaxation. Or maybe just some plain fun.

Kuro wiped away his tears and couldn't help but let out a few small chuckles at Madoka's little comment. he knew that now he had a companion now, but wasn't willing to admit it. His small eyes looked up at Madoka and he moved back a few spaces. "How can someone like you, all powerful and magnificent, " Kuro said" Want to waist kind to a pathetic, useless, little one like me?" Kuro removed his kimono to show many more cuts across his chest and stomach. he then removed the bandages form his bosy showing that he was a walking scar. "this is me sir," Kuro explained. " I am hunted because I am different, I use my training to entertain villageers so they'll give me food and a shelter but never get it! I travel by my self and have no family. Tell me Why great Sir you would want to be seen with a SCAR." Kuro stood infront od madoka with anger and fear in his eyes. he turned away and his back was nothing but a giant scar. " You see" Kuro whispered" I am nothing bu,.. but .. BUT A SCAR!"

Madoka didn't look away, but his expression was a bit more serious than usual. His dark eyes stared at the boy, not glaring, but in relaxed concentration. His stance was not the least bit fidgety, like a stone pillar. He didn't even bother to count the past gashes, nor measure them with his eyes, or even wonder how deep they were. They were Kuro's body, and they were Kuro. And it seemed they were his personality. His hard expression was cracked a little when the demon sighed, his gaze drifting downward. "Alright then, you wear a suit of scars rather than a suit of armor. You carry around your memories written on your body like a scroll, and in only a language you have full comprehension of. You are a scar.” The man’s dark eyes looked back up at Kuro. “But it seems you do not believe you should be respected as such. You are attacked for your species you say? Your scars hold that message. You are disregarded for your appearance you say? Your attitude reflects those moments. But I believe between your scars and your attitude, your memories and your very existence…I believe you are the magnificent one. You still survive through it all, you still persevere, you are still Kuro.” Involuntarily, Madoka was moving closer to the boy, then finally, he put both hands on the boy’s shoulders and looked square into the hanyou’s blue eyes. “I do not understand your shame when it is that your suit of scars is more beautiful than any metal.”

Kuro looked up at Madoka and a n expression of awe came into his eyes. Slowly, Kuro wrapped his companions arms around him , then his arms around Madoka's waist and snuggled into the demons skin.
[Ooc: ya it made me laugh cry.. it was good, sorry mine is so short though.. }
