When Danial came down with a deadly sickness unseen by doctors in centuries he finds his dyeing days to be filled with more that just sorrow and the haze of death. Now that his life hangs by an inch from the grave his soul releases into the second after life of those who have yet to pass through heavens doors because of their unfinished business. His fears deepen as those who beg for help chase ofter him in his released form, only to torment him more when he returns to his body. He mets a man that may be the key to silencing his fear for the dead who haunt him and securing his sickness so that he can live.

He feared for everything in him, his sanity was slipping along with his life. All of it was falling apart before him, much like the forms that crowded round his bed, many of them showing the rotting stage or the state in which they died, some were still hooked to their IV's even after death. The sheets covered his eyes as he coward under the covers of his hospital bed. His shivering figure visible from the glass air tight doors the kept the outside from him.
Something lifted from the room and he dared to peer over his shelter. Most of 'them' were gone. The same girl from yesterday's venture stood there at the side of the bed. His body froze as he looked to her. On her left side she looked like a normal girl, beautiful long blond hair, pale but bright skin, ice blue eyes that glistened. Yet her right side was a decaying mess of flesh and burnt patches. Tears were streaming down her one good eye and she looked to Daniel with need. A stuffed bunny was held tightly in her arms as she herself shook. Her eye clamped shut and more tears trickled down her cheek.
"Please help, I can't find mommy or daddy. Help me!"
The figure called out, the voice echoing from everywhere in a shirl ring. Daniel retreated under his blankets in fear as he more violently shiver now that the room was growing colder as the girl remained.
"Daniel?"
He heard the familiar voice of his mother over the speaker next to the doors of his room. The cold sensation left him and he appeared from under the sheets to look up at his mother standing with a smile upon her face and another gift in her hands. She was always giving him things, stuffed animals, books, games but he never found them comforting. Since the doctors did not know of his disease they took no chance of anyone being contaminated or him being exposed to something and progressing his deterioration.
"Hello mom."
He stated, wiping his own tears from his face and crawling out of his bed to the doors and looking out to his mother. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were heavy looking . His situation made her a nervous wreck and caused her to blame herself for something he knew she didn't do.
"Hey sweetie. How do you feel?"
Her voice was cracked and her eyes began to glisten with sadness as she placed her hand to the glass and smiled.
"I feel fine today, the pain went away like the doctor said. The medicine might be it."
The blond said with a mirroring expression, finger graced the barrier between him and his mother, finally pressing it fully. Warmth radiated from the woman into his cold sweaty hands.
"I hope. I got you the books you asked for, they are decontaminating them right now."
There it was again, that catch in her tone that broke him down every time. He nodded and thanked her suggesting she go home and get some sleep.
"Oh no hunny. I'll stay. Is there anything you want to talk about?"
The teen nodded with a brightened expression.
The rest of the day was just them talking through the door. They laughed for the first time in months and he hoped that she would be ok once he did pass on.
She had to leave and they both held their hands to the glass and looked to each other before she left. With a sigh he went back to his bed and picked up the books on his side table and smiled. They were indeed the books he asked for and they were brand new hard backs. He turned on his table lamp and began to read. It was really the only thing he could do. Read and wait for a cure to his problems.
